I’m planning a trip within Europe and choosing an airline. Which airlines would you recommend, and why?

What we foundeasyJet and Ryanair were recommended in almost every answer, and Lufthansa was named first most often. No answer picked one airline as the best.

Languages differ
Iberia and Vueling were recommended more often when the question was in Spanish. Wizz Air appeared less often. A Spanish question may suggest a traveller in Spain, so this is not necessarily a gap.
